We are currently recruiting for one position at City Praise Centre Church.


Reporting to – Associate Pastor
Salary – £14k – £18k FTE (level based on experience and skills set)
Position status Hours – Part Time – 22 Hours (Tuesday 8:30-5pm, Wednesday 8:30- 5pm + 6hrs flexible role related time)

To enable the smooth running of the CPC campus, offices and venues, by ensuring that facilities are ready, suitable resources are provided, procedures followed, and legislation adhered too.

The purpose of the post of the Administrator is to be responsible for:

  • Effective and efficient office and site administration
  • Planning and overseeing church events
  • The hire of venues as a financial resource
  • Access to the site and buildings daily and for events

Job Summary

  • To ensure the effective operation of background administrative systems
  • To be the primary point of contact for external agencies with regards to venue hire
  • To support and work with other admin staff and volunteers to enable good
  • communication within the team on site and the wider church
  • To organise the supply of consumable resources required for the operation of the
    site and offices

Main Duties

  1. To produce event plans, organize the Gantt charting of events to ensure all tasks are completed when required
  2. To organize the continual cover of the Reception through the reception staff and volunteers
  3. To manage the budget effectively, providing value for money and approved accounts
  4. To monitor the data input from the event registration process to enable the data to be an effective tool for church administration
  5. To organize, supervise and manage general maintenance across the site
  6. To be the primary face of the church to external companies and promote a positive
  7. To support the pastoral staff with back office admin in preparation for Sundays
    services or groups
  8. Opening up the wider site and Maltings building during the working week and for

Qualification / Person Specification

  1. Must have a well developed administrative, communication skills and an ability to problem solve
  2. Proficiency in computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office 365, Planning Center
  3. Online (or similar church administration), Gannt charting software
  4. Be personable and able to engage well with staff, volunteers and visitors alike
  5. Ability to work Sunday’s as a norm
  6. A current member of City Praise Centre
  7. A demonstrated commitment to the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creed’s
  8. A commitment to the Christian practice as expressed in the CPC book ‘The Way of Christ.’
